French presidential election is tight, incumbent French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron is in close competition with far-right politician Marine Le Pen. The presidential election which was held on Sunday (10/4/2022) Emmanuel won 27.84 percent, while Le Pen earned 23.15 percent.
Reporting from the official page of the French Ministry of Home Affairs, Monday (11/4/2022) night, Due to no candidate who won a landslide victory, the second round of the presidential election will take place on April 24, 2022.
The presidential election which was participated by 12 candidates included Emmanuel MACRON as the incumbent candidate who won 27.84% or 9,785,578 votes, while in 2nd place, Marine LE PEN won 23.15% or 8,136,369 votes, while in 3rd place, Jean -Luc MELENCHON won 21.95 or 7,714,949 votes.
Then in 4th place, Eric ZEMMOUR won 7.07% or 2,485,935 votes, for 5th place, Valerie PCRESSE won 4.78% or 1,679,470 votes. In 6th place, Yannick JADOT won 4.63% or with 1,628,337 votes.
7th place. Mr. Jean LASSALLE got 3.13% or 1,101,690 votes, 8th place. Jean LASSALLE won 2.28% or 802 615 votes. In 9th place. Nicolas DUPONT-AIGNAN won 2.06% or 725,356 votes, in 10th place. Anne HIDALGO won 1.75 or with 616 651 votes.
In 11th place, Philippe POUTOU won 0.77 or with 268,984 votes. 12th position. Nathalie ARTHAUD won 0.56% or with 197 184 votes. Of the 12 participants, there were 4 female candidates and 8 male candidates.
